How to Download Instagram Stories
Find the username or copy a link
You can start from either a username or a link. If you're on the profile in the Instagram app or a browser, copy the URL straight from the address bar — the tool reads the username out of it for you, which removes any chance of a typo. Typing the username manually works too: it contains no spaces, it's unique to the account, and the @ symbol is optional. What you can't use is a display name, because display names aren't unique, change without warning and often contain emojis. A wrong username is the most common reason a download comes back empty.
Load the available media
Paste it into the field above and press Load media. The tool then returns everything the account publishes publicly: Stories from the last 24 hours, any Highlights the owner has pinned permanently, public Reels and feed posts. Each item appears as its own card with a thumbnail, so you can see exactly what's available before you save anything. If the account is private, you'll get a clear message instead of an empty screen — private content can't be downloaded by this tool or any other, and we don't pretend otherwise.

Stories (last 24 hours)
A Story is the sequence of photos and short videos someone posts for a single day. It's public for 24 hours and then disappears, which is why downloading is often the only way to keep it. This tool loads each segment as an individual file so you keep the full sequence rather than one merged clip. If you just want to watch rather than save, the Instagram story viewer shows the same content without writing anything to your device.
Highlights
Highlights are Stories the owner has permanently pinned to their profile. Because they aren't time-limited, they're the most stable thing you can download from a public account — and often the most useful, since people keep their best posts there. Highlights download the same way active Stories do, one file per segment, and they're included in the batch download.
Reels
Reels are Instagram's public short-video format, and they're usually longer and higher-bitrate than Story segments. Paste a username and they'll appear in the list alongside Stories and Highlights; paste a link to a single Reel and you'll get just that one. Allow a little more time on a slow connection — the files are larger, and the quality is worth the wait.
Photos and single posts
Public feed photos and individual posts can be saved the same way. This is useful when someone has shared a carousel you want to keep, or when you need the original image rather than a screenshot. Photos save at the resolution Instagram served, without the compression that comes from screenshotting on a phone.
Does Downloading Leave a Trace?
No. Nothing about this process involves your Instagram account, because there's no account involved at all — you never log in, you never grant permissions, and you never hand over your password to anything. Instagram has no identity to attach the request to, which means the account owner sees no viewer entry and receives no notification.
A few practical notes. If you're logged into Instagram in the same browser, activity inside your own account is still tracked normally, so log out first if that matters to you. And if the account is private, there's nothing to download in the first place: only content the owner publishes publicly is accessible here. We don't bypass privacy settings, and any site claiming it can is either serving cached public content or fishing for your login.

If your browser asks where to save, pick a folder you'll remember. No APK, no sideloading, no permissions to grant — and nothing runs in the background after you close the tab.
Desktop
Desktop is where batch downloading is genuinely comfortable: the grid is wider, thumbnails are easier to scan, and bulk downloads save straight to your Downloads folder. Because the viewer runs entirely in the browser, there's no software to install and nothing to uninstall afterwards.
